Now available on Android and iOS (with Windows coming soon), our mobile application allows you to stay up-to-date on all the happenings at IRHA!
Aside from being able to view a ton of information on IRHA — which includes: current events and legislation, parliament and executive members information, and our meeting locations and times — you’ll also be able to view our parliament meetings live on your mobile device (and our minutes)!
What else? How about not being able to make it to parliament meetings? What about your committee meetings? Well now you have no excuse! “FaceTime” us through the app! Never miss another meeting. Ever, again.
Our application is built on the foundations of the MyState app, with technology appropriately borrowed from Microsoft’s Skype application (Apple wouldn’t source their FaceTime code to us). In addition, we had also received support from the people over at HackISU. Please check them out too!
Thanks to all who have made this mobile app possible! Please check it out and try it on your mobile device. A minor note: the megaphone icon was a placeholder for the mockup images below, our actual icon is a nice outlined rendition of a section of Friley.
Are you looking for an extra boost in your leadership experience? If so, you should consider applying to the free national leadership conference, NACURH! NACURH is the National Association of College and University Residence Halls.
This conference is at North Dakota State University on May 22nd to May 25th. If selected, you would join residence hall leaders in representing Iowa State to attend workshops of your choice, listen to nationally known speakers, and network with fellow leaders from across the nation. The only financial obligation of this trip is one meal while traveling to NDSU. The application is due Friday, March 13th, at 11:59 PM, and interviews will be held from March 23rd to March 27th.
Feel free to email any questions regarding the application process to IRHA’s National Communications Coordinator, Hannah Early, at email@example.com.
You may find the application here.

The polls are up, and all we need is for you to vote! Voting takes less time than deciding whether or not “it’s blue and black,” or “it’s white and gold.”
Seriously? It’s blue and black.

As the NCC, you would select and lead delegations to attend the regional and national Residence Hall leadership conferences. You would serve as the representative for Iowa State in considering legislation and award recipients while at the conference. This paid executive position is great for students who have been looking for the next step in enhancing their leadership skills. Applicants must live in a Residence Hall (not apartment next year) and Community Advisers are eligible to apply. Are you ready for the next step in your adventure at Iowa State?
Please see the attached application for more details. Feel free to email Hannah Early at firstname.lastname@example.org for any questions you have regarding the application process.
